Job Description
As an Enterprise Client Executive
, you’ll own a defined book of named enterprise accounts across the state of Tennessee area. This is a true quota‑carrying role with both annual and semi‑annual targets
, focused on driving growth across a balanced mix of Protect/Defend
, Expand
, and Land (whitespace) accounts.
You’ll work side by side with a Solutions Engineer and a strong channel and alliance ecosystem to design, position, and deliver Net App’s full portfolio of storage solutions
. Your ability to uncover customer pain points, size opportunities, and lead productive business conversations is critical in driving quota attainment and building lasting customer relationships.
- Account Management:
Manage and nurture relationships with larger named enterprise accounts, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand Net App’s footprint. - Sales Strategy:
Partner with the Account Technology Specialist to define and execute a technical strategy that aligns with customer goals and drives account growth. - Quota Achievement:
Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas through strategic account management, proactive engagement, and solution selling. - Consultative Selling:
Utilize a consultative sales approach to understand customer needs, develop customized solutions, and present formal quotes and proposals. - Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Work closely with Net App’s internal teams, including Sales Engineers, Solutions Architects, and Product Specialists, to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet customer requirements. - Customer Engagement:
Schedule and lead customer meetings, bringing in additional Net App team members as needed to support the sales process and ensure alignment with technical and business needs. - Market Insight:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer challenges to position Net App’s solutions effectively. - Leadership and Influence:
Serve as a subject matter expert within the sales team, contributing to team initiatives and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
- Experience:
At least 7 years of experience in enterprise‑level sales, with a focus on selling storage, cloud solutions, or related technologies. - Industry Expertise:
Strongly preferred experience in cloud storage and on‑premises storage within the tech B2B sector, ensuring a deep understanding of both environments and their business implications. - Proven Success:
Demonstrated track record of achieving or surpassing sales quotas, with experience managing and growing enterprise accounts. - Technical
Collaboration:
Experience working in tandem with Solutions Engineers or Architects to drive sales success. - Sales Acumen:
Strong analytical skills with a background in sales forecasting, performance tracking, and relationship management. - Communication:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels within enterprise organizations. - Candidate must reside in the state of Tennessee.
The salary range for this position is $312,000 – $381,000 total on target earnings and will be determined by the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance‑Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
