Retail Sales Associate

Overview

Retail Sales Associate - 2729 l-Time position in pawn store locations nationwide. The role includes customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business and involves engaging with customers, processing sales, loans, and other transactions.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Completes assigned training successfully.
• Other related duties, as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, lifting, etc.), in accordance with laws.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers on exterior areas or retrieve products stored outside.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations. Cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be able to work at multiple locations as needed and have a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems.

• Hourly wage + commission; commission plan details provided during interview. Potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance.
• $15.00 to $18.00 per hour base rate; commission structure pays per transaction, with potential to increase earnings (up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional amount).
