Overview
Retail Store Management Trainee is a role designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in fast-tracking into a Store Management position. Minimum of 1 year retail management experience is required. Compensation ranges from $19.00 to $31.15 per hour. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.43 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. The trainee is accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive/productive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations/Customer Satisfaction. The position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.
You will analyze store financial statements to ensure goals are met and participate in asset protection, store promotion, and customer acquisition. You will work with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.

- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise and ensuring procedures protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes such as inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and self-development training.
- Communicate clearly with employees about the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
