Overview
Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team. Salary: $19.00 to $23.00 per hour. Earn commission on transactions and have the potential for additional earnings through a commission plan.
PositionAssistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience. Accountable for day-to-day store operations, promoting a positive environment, leading and developing staff, recruiting, maximizing financial goals, and managing customer relations and satisfaction. Collaborate with the Store Manager to drive a customer-centric environment and analyze store financial statements to meet financial goals. This role may require working with a variety of merchandise, including jewelry and general items.
The role offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and follow procedures to protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communications and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to align with the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting as required by law.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in multiple locations as needed.
- Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays; 40+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Analytical skills and cash handling experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; excellent work ethic and strong business sense.

- Commission plan: 2-8% commission based on personal gross profit; details provided during interview.
