The Assistant Store Manager at Coach demonstrates a high level of business acumen; delivering sales results through employee development and mentorship. They serve as a true utilitarian player, possessing the ability to adapt to all roles within the store’s environment.
Responsibilities- SALES:
Develop sales strategies, initiatives and growth across all categories; communicate goals to the team; track store performance and achieve sales productivity. - Accountability:
Hold the management team to personal productivity and management contribution; steward clienteling strategy in partnership with the Store Manager to achieve business goals. - Execution:
Understand market changes and support the execution of sales strategies and tactics; act as brand ambassador to drive loyalty and business. - Customer
Experience:
Resolve customer issues timely, be solution-oriented and forward-thinking; build long-term relationships with customers to drive business. - Team Development:
Develop team with high ownership and accountability for results; build trusting relationships; welcome feedback and set short/long-term goals. - Operations:
Ensure daily tasks are completed without compromising Service and Coach standards; protect and drive business needs with Store/District Manager; leverage Coach tools and technology. - Leadership:
Delegate, empower others, create enthusiasm, and foster a positive shared vision; recognize and value individual performance.
- Evaluate performance and provide timely feedback; create action plans for development with the Store Manager.
- Adhere to retail policies and POS/Operations; recruit, onboard and maintain top talent with the Store Manager.
- Forecast and budget in partnership with Store Manager; manage payroll, scheduling, merchandising, and loss prevention.
- Maintain store interior/exterior upkeep in partnership with corporate; ensure aesthetic and safety requirements are met.
- Competencies include:

- Experience:
1 to 3 years of previous management experience in a luxury retail service environment preferred. - Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. - Technical:
Proficient with MS Office; experience with retail systems (labor management, inventory, sales reporting, etc.). - Physical:
Ability to operate at fast pace; ability to maneuver the sales floor and lift up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds for shipments. - Schedule:
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays with high retail traffic and sales days.
