$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including both front end and pharmacy.
  • Support pharmacy inventory management activities: receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns.
  • Champion on‑shelf availability and be responsible for receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in‑store inventory processes.
  • Validate and ensure accuracy of planograms.
  • Review and coordinate reports and system applications that impact front‑end and pharmacy on‑hand balances and pricing.
  • Execute and maintain asset‑protection techniques, filing claims for overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
  • When required, open and close the store in the absence of management, handling all system start‑ups, required cash handling, cashier responsibilities, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
Customer Experience
  • Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • When serving as the leader on duty, resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Model and share customer‑service best practices with all team members, emphasizing Walgreens service traits such as proactive help, need identification, and satisfaction focus.
Operations
  • Execute and coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes, including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders.
  • Scan all deliveries, focusing on One Box receiving; mark deliveries as received and open tickets for inaccuracies.
  • Under pharmacist‑in‑charge supervision, verify all pharmacy shipments are posted for physically received products.
  • Complete all pharmacy warehouse order postings, prescription and OTC orders, secondary vendor orders, flu, and dropship orders, performing tote audits and reporting shortages or damages.
  • Complete On‑Shelf Availability (OSA) end‑to‑end process for planogrammed departments, including disposals, call‑ins, vendor returns before expiration, and scan‑outs for subscribed departments.
  • Under pharmacist‑in‑charge supervision, manage pharmacy recall activities, vendor returns, and non‑controlled, damaged salvage returns; support inter‑store pharmacy transfers.
  • Execute all pricing activities: price changes, markdowns, deletions, and daily department pricing with accurate signage.
  • Support front‑end and pharmacy ordering, monitoring manual orders, and maintaining consigned inventory.
  • Ensure on‑hand items are updated and properly stored in the designated holding area.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts across all departments, stockroom, and over‑stock locations.
  • Uphold compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcohol, tobacco).
  • Assist with inventory records: receiving, posting, organizing invoices, receipts, and return authorizations.
  • Help prepare for physical inventory and support related activities.
  • Maintain clean, well‑merchandised counters and shelves.
  • Knowledgeable of all store systems and equipment; assist and coach staff on package delivery, scanning, and pickup program execution.
  • When serving as the leader on duty, record all sales on the POS, manage errors, voids, returns, refunds, and cash drops to safe.
  • Comply with company policies, maintain respectful coworker relationships, and complete any other assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
  • Attend company‑based trainings and complete all e‑learning modules, including safety training.
  • Obtain and maintain any required pharmacy license or certification.
Communications
  • Act as a liaison between management and non‑management team members, coaching and developing others on inventory systems.
  • When serving as the leader on duty, communicate assigned tasks, report disciplinary issues, and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
  • Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail work experience (external candidates).
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
