As our Customer Engagement Specialist – Banana Program are Amazon ambassadors, banana distributors, playlist DJs, and everyday joy-makers. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on human interaction and loves keeping things upbeat and positive.

Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule: Part-Time – 20 to 25 hours per week | Monday through Friday between 7:15AM and 3:45PM
Starting Hourly Rate: $19.82 per hour | Full Range: $19.82 - $24.00 per hour

What You Will Do
- Arrive to the banana stand ready to work at scheduled time in provided Banista uniform.
- Assist with daily set-up and/or tear down of stand, ensuring all items are in place.
- Greet and engage visitors with a friendly, warm, and professional attitude. (Banistas deliver a 5-star experience!)
- Choose music for your shift to keep the vibe fun and inviting.
- Unload and prep bananas—separating, restocking, and keeping supplies flowing.
- Remove damaged bananas and keep the stand clean, safe, and fully stocked.
- Track daily stand metrics including distribution, compost, and visitor interactions.
- Report feedback, inquiries, and stand activity to help identify trends or urgent issues.
- Contribute to monthly inventory and assist with banana redistribution across stands.
- Help with decorating the stand for holidays or special events.
- Communicate any major concerns (media on site, security concerns, etc.) right away.
- Support Banana Stand openings, offsite locations, and special projects as needed.
- Attend training, stay updated on FAQs, and share banana facts with visitors.
- Be flexible and responsive to last-minute changes or requests.
- GED or high school diploma required
- 1+ year of customer service experience
- Passionate about inclusion and comfortable working in diverse environments
- Enjoys being outdoors and working in all weather conditions
- Comfortable with basic math and technology (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Able to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills
- Confident in following procedures and adapting to unexpected situations
- Positive, energetic, and dependable with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable around dogs (Amazon’s campuses are dog-friendly!)
- Open to working at different stand locations and occasional weekends or after-hours shifts
- Must be able to lift bananas and stack boxes up to 50 lbs. repetitively.
