Across from the new Music City Center, the luxury hotel is a one‑of‑a‑kind experience, fully integrated with an expansion of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on four levels. Located on Fifth Avenue between Demonbreun and Korean Veterans Blvd., the hotel’s design is a modern expression of the city’s distinct character, incorporating natural materials, exposed steel, and regional limestone.

The multi‑story hotel and expanded museum share meeting and entertainment space and bring additional restaurants and retail venues to this dynamic downtown destination.

Job Description

You will provide efficient and friendly customer service at all times and maintain a clean, professional appearance, ensuring that bar and bar guests are satisfied promptly and courteously.

Responsibilities
  • Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs, and respond to inquiries or requests.
  • Have full knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
  • Monitor and maintain bar cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
  • Properly provide silverware and condiments before food is presented at the bar.
  • Clean and reset the bar area as guests depart or drinks are prepared.
  • Set up and break down the bar properly.
  • Follow triple sink procedures.
  • Communicate with management, kitchen staff, and serving staff professionally at all times.
  • Contribute to a professional workplace that maximizes employee morale, productivity, and effectiveness.
  • Ensure responsible service of alcohol by following all legal requirements, including carding and consumption checks.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders, promptly record all transactions in the Micros system, maintain guest tabs, and process payments promptly.
  • Monitor par levels.
  • Have experience in selling and upselling.
  • Have knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer.
  • Be able to work in a fast‑paced team environment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1‑year bartending experience required in a high‑volume casual/sports bar environment.
  • Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer, including appropriate pours and mixology.
  • Previous cash handling experience required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly, both verbally and in writing, in English with guests, management, and co‑workers, in person and on the phone.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co‑workers both within and outside your department.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service, service recovery, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Must be TABC certified or have the ability to obtain a valid TABC permit prior to hire.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire shift.
  • Requires repetitive motion of arms, hands, and legs.
  • May work both indoors and outdoors.
