SummaryThis is a Without Compensation Research Health Science Specialist position. The VA Research Program promotes Veteran-centered care, improving patient experiences and outcomes across VA healthcare and community settings, and advancing value-driven care to provide Veterans the highest quality care at the lowest financial burden.
QualificationsApplicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of 01/27/2026. Experience must relate to the work of the position. Specialized experience includes research activity or control program work; performing lab studies and experiments and completing related data analysis. A full year of work is considered 35‑40 hours per week. Part‑time experience is credited based on time actually spent. Applicants must indicate the nature of duties and responsibilities and hours per week spent in each position.
Physical RequirementsThe work is predominantly sedentary. Employees sit comfortably to do the work but also walk, stand, bend, and carry moderate‑weight items such as large binders, banker‑style file boxes, meeting materials, papers, books, or small parts. Hand and eye coordination for delicate testing procedures may be the only special physical demand.
Duties- Assist with laboratory studies.
- Complete data analysis associated with laboratory duties.
- Perform or assist with laboratory experiments, including cell culture and staining of tissue sections.
