Overview

We are currently seeking a 5 th to 8 th year associate to support our Nashville Office’s Real Estate Practice Group. The ideal candidate will possess solid and recent real estate transactional experience, including real estate lending and/or joint venture financing, ideally with experience working on transactions involving tax credits. Qualified candidates will have experience drafting senior, real estate secured loan documents and/or real estate joint venture partnership/operating agreements, and will have requisite experience reviewing title commitments, recorded documents, and surveys to oversee paralegal title and survey review.

Candidates must be licensed to practice in Tennessee and should also have strong writing skills and excellent academic credentials.

Responsibilities
  • Represent lenders, national and regional banks, opportunity funds and borrowers in connection with real estate financings, construction loans, equity investments, syndicated investments, portfolio and syndicated credit facilities, tax credit transactions and municipal finance.
  • Involves all types of real estate projects—office, hotel, multifamily and industrial; assist with acquisitions and dispositions, and with landlord and tenant matters in commercial leases as part of Real Estate Practice Group.
Qualifications
  • Licensed to practice in Tennessee.
  • Solid and recent real estate transactional experience, including real estate lending and/or joint venture financing; experience with tax credit transactions is preferred.
  • Experience drafting senior, real estate secured loan documents and/or real estate joint venture partnership/operating agreements.
  • Experience reviewing title commitments, recorded documents, and surveys to oversee paralegal title and survey review.
  • Strong writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
