Compensation: $18-23/hr, depending on experience.

Schedule:

Four, 10‑hour shifts per week.

Role

Summary:

As our Doctor Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our ER/ECC team, patients, and clients. Your responsibilities will include being the main point of contact for attending doctors, ensuring seamless communication between the medical team and clients, and facilitating patient visits and discharges. From providing morning updates to assisting with medical records and client communication, your contributions will directly impact the quality of care we provide.

Position

Responsibilities
  • Patient updates and record‑keeping:
    Provide morning updates on hospitalized ER/ECC patients, input overnight updates, diagnostic results, and assist with treatment sheets, discharges, and case management in Ezy Vet and Smart Flow.
  • Client communication and paperwork:
    Review estimates, euthanasia paperwork, and facilitate client checkouts, including collecting deposits and answering questions or concerns.
  • Diagnostic and technical support:
    Assist with obtaining radiographs, running in‑house lab work, sending lab work to external labs, and maintaining diagnostic records in Ezy Vet for current patients.
  • Coordination and referrals:
    Facilitate transfer calls from referring veterinarians, specialty consult requests, and schedule follow‑up appointments, while managing communication with laboratories and pharmacies.
  • Patient discharge and follow‑up:
    Coordinate discharges by ensuring patients are clean, medications are filled, and medical equipment is removed, and perform 48‑hour follow‑up calls for post‑discharge check‑ins.
Requirements
  • 1+ year of prior veterinary experience.
  • Attention to detail, with strong organizational and communication skills with both clients and team members. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and team‑oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to work beyond scheduled hours if necessary.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
