Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Nephrology Doctor's Office

Overview

The Registered Nurse provides medical office nursing duties in an outpatient nephrology office.

Schedule
:
Full-time, 5 days per week, weekends off; no overnight shifts

Compensation
:
Pay based on years of nursing experience; new graduates with no experience can expect $32-34/hour

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate patient-centered care in a small not-for-profit medical practice
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking histories and vital signs
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms, instruments, supplies, and equipment for treatments
  • Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
  • Assist physicians in preparations for examinations and physicals
  • Assist with scheduling tests and treatments as needed for patients
  • Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen for referrals to physicians and practitioners
Qualifications

Education/Training
  • An accredited nursing degree is required
  • Must possess and maintain a current RN license in the applicable state
  • Current CPR certification
  • Nephrology experience not required; DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive training
  • New graduates encouraged to apply
