Youth Opportunity is a nationally recognized leader in residential and behavioral health treatment for at‑risk youth. Rosewood Youth Academy in Nashville, Tennessee is a 30‑bed secure facility serving boys ages 13 to 19. This trauma‑informed setting offers a comprehensive combination of clinical treatment, academic instruction, therapeutic recreation, restorative justice, and expressive therapies.
Youth typically remain in care for about 6 months, engaging in individual, family, and group therapy; anger replacement training; substance use prevention; life skills and social skills development; victim‑impact awareness; and pre‑vocational preparation. Small group living units provide a structured environment to support successful community reintegration.
Position Summary – LPN Job in Nashville, TNWe are hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team in Nashville, TN. This LPN position is ideal for someone seeking meaningful work in youth behavioral health, juvenile care, or residential treatment. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing direct nursing care, supporting mental health needs, and helping stabilize youth during their treatment and assessment process.

- Administer medications and monitor for reactions or side effects
- Conduct intake physical health assessments and screenings
- Document medical histories and maintain accurate health records
- Provide basic first aid and support emergency medical situations
- Collaborate with doctors, nurse practitioners, and behavioral health staff
- Communicate with guardians, case managers, and outside agencies
- Ensure compliance with state health regulations and treatment protocols
- Active LPN license in Tennessee
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills
- Willingness to work with youth in challenging situations
- 1+ years working in behavioral health, pediatrics, or juvenile residential care
- Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention
- Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation standards
- Physical Demands:
Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds and provide necessary physical services to clients. Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by the state and to the extent that knowledge is attainable under the law. Must be able to transport clients. - Other:
Must maintain an appropriate and valid state driver’s license. Must meet state criminal background check requirements.
