Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a top healthcare client in Hermitage, TN
.
This position plays a key leadership role within a 34-bed PCU/Telemetry unit, overseeing patient care for individuals with cardiac, neurological, and pulmonary conditions. The CNC ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while coordinating team functions, supporting nursing staff, and fostering clinical excellence during the night shift.
Job Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate nursing care for PCU patients, including those with cardiac, neuro, and pulmonary diagnoses.
- Oversee admission, discharge, and patient flow processes to ensure efficient throughput.
- Administer and manage IV drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Lasix, and Protonix.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, offering coaching, feedback, and performance guidance.
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care, engagement, and satisfaction.
- Support compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and clinical protocols.
- Assist with staff scheduling and ensure proper nurse-to-patient ratios are maintained.
- Collaborate with management to drive departmental quality, performance, and engagement initiatives.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Prior Charge Nurse experience required
- Previous PCU, Telemetry, or step-down nursing experience preferred
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire
- NIHSS Stroke Certification within 30 days of hire
- Strong clinical decision-making and leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
