Tennessee Oncology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our inpatient oncology team at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN. In this full-time, Monday-Friday role, the APP will provide high-quality care to hospitalized patients with hematologic and oncologic diagnoses. Responsibilities include managing complications of malignancy, addressing treatment-related side effects, providing palliative care, and overseeing patients admitted for chemotherapy.
The APP will apply evidence-based practices to improve outcomes and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Ideal Candidate:
- 1-2+ years of APP experience required
- Hospitalist experience required, with ability to manage complex inpatient cases
- Hematology/Oncology experience strongly preferred
- Skilled in clinical assessment, acute care management, and patient stabilization
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with physicians, APPs, RNs, and hospital staff
