Registered Nurse performing direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Utilizes therapeutic communication, maintains a safe therapeutic environment, identifies nursing problems relative to patient needs, plans individualized patient care with an interdisciplinary approach, participates in performance improvement activities, and coordinates care to support the hospital’s mission.
What you will do in this role- Assess plans and evaluate patient care needs and carry out physician orders.
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, cleanse wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
- Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.
- Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
- One year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
