Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience

• ACLS and BLS certifications required

• Ability to work night shifts and meet weekend shift requirements (minimum 4 weekend shifts per schedule)

• Experience with ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000 preferred

• Familiarity with Meditech healthcare documentation system is a plus

MICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and compassionate care to critically ill MICU patients and their families

• Monitor and manage patients with a 2:1 patient ratio (may vary based on acuity and staffing)

• Perform advanced clinical procedures: central line insertion, arterial line placement, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including unit secretaries and nurse externs

• Float to medical-surgical units as needed, adapting to diverse patient care assignments

• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Meditech

• Participate in self-scheduling and coordinate with management to balance shifts
