Job Summary

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient‑centered care for pre‑operative and post‑operative patients in collaboration with medical providers. The RN advocates for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical‑surgical patient care.
Qualifications
  • RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a compact state.
  • Associate’s degree;
    Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • BLS required, obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • At least one‑year clinical nursing experience preferred.
  • ACLS certification, obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • NIHSS Stroke certification, obtained within 30 days of hire.
