Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg ICU position requiring ICU experience and either a TN or compact RN license.

• Work in a 32-bed Med Surg ICU setting
• Typical patient ratio is 1:2
• Team includes RNs, nurse externs, and a free-floating charge RN
• Uses Philips monitors and Alaris pumps
• Documentation is completed using Meditech EMR
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Floating may be required based on hospital needs
• Deliver critical care to diverse adult patients in the Med Surg ICU
• Perform advanced procedures including CRRT, intubations, and line placements
• Wear navy blue or black scrubs as per dress code
• Team includes support from unit secretaries and techs
• Patient care follows ICARE standards
• Holiday coverage may be required during assignment

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted)
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Must provide US Social Security Number and date of birth for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
• Professional references required as per state guidelines
