Registered Nurse – CCU
Unit Name: CCU

Requirements:
2+ years of ICU experience
Valid TN RN License with no restrictions or valid Compact RN License with no restrictions
Certifications

Required:

BLS, ACLS

Must Have:
Cardiac experience and strong critical care experience

Advanced Skills Needed:
PA catheter & hemodynamic monitoring
IABP
Impella
CRRT preferred

Procedures Performed on Unit:
Central line insertion
Swan insertion
Intubations

Patient Ratios: 2:1

Unit Staffing:

Student nurse externs available as techs
Unit secretary available Monday–Friday, 0730–1530

Equipment:
Hill-Rom beds, Philips telemetry monitors
Documentation System:
Meditech

Scheduling Requirements: 4-week schedules; 3–4 weekend shifts per schedule period
Floating Policy:
Float as needed based on unit census

Dress Code:
Scrubs: galaxy blue, red, or black
Scrub jackets or vests permitted
