Must have an active TN RN License or Compact RN License in good standing
Minimum 2 years of L&D experience
Certifications

Required:

AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) or CEFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP

Advanced Skills Needed:
Care of the laboring patient
Care of the newborn immediately after delivery
Circulate and recover C-section patients
Procedures Performed on Unit:
Vaginal deliveries
C-sections
D&C
Cerclage
Epidural anesthesia
Tub labor

Unit Specifics:
Number of Beds: 12
Patient Ratios: 1:2
Unit Staffing: RNs, unit secretary, OR techs

Documentation System: CPN, Meditech

Scheduling Requirements: 3 weekend shifts, 1 call shift for RNs, 2 call shifts for techs, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week

Floating Policy:
Travelers float first

Patient Experience Expectations:
Shared decision making with patients

Hospital Specifics:
Certifications for RNs: NRP, ACLS, BLS, must have AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) or CEFM
Certifications for OR techs: FA certification

Dress Code (Required):
Scrubs Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray (not provided by hospital)
