Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position requiring a TN or compact RN license and current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.

• Work in a hospital critical care unit with a 6-bed CVICU
• Patient population includes cardiac surgery, myocardial infarction, CHF, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and post-cardiopulmonary arrest cases
• Patients are young adult through late adult, ages 18-60+
• Shift schedule is 06:45-19:15 at either 36 or 48 hours per week
• Required to work at least one of two major holidays during the assignment
• Must provide care for critically ill cardiac patients in an intensive care setting
• Team-oriented environment with support staff
• RTO (requested time off) must be included up front
• Assignment is 13 weeks with a strictly non-negotiable start date
• Candidates may only hold one position within the health system at a time
• Local candidates are considered but will be offered a reduced local rate based on the facility’s radius rule
• Covid vaccination is no longer required

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is required
• Nursys license verification and submission required within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and valid US home address required
• Must provide a copy of Driver’s License
• Two professional references are required
