This 36‑bed high‑acuity unit cares for a variety of surgical patients—including general, gastrointestinal, head/neck, and vascular cases. The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, using therapeutic communication and an interdisciplinary approach to plan individualized care and participate in performance‑improvement activities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
• Use therapeutic communication in daily practice to maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
• Identify nursing problems related to individual patient needs.
• Plan individualized patient care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.
• Participate in performance‑improvement activities.
• Provide care and coordinate participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure (or eligible).
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• CPR certificate.
