OverviewThe Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for executing and coordinating a robust collection of community engagement programs for Nashville Soccer Club, with a particular focus on youth development and soccer programming, fundraising initiatives, and social media marketing. The role also includes building relationships with nonprofit and corporate partners, volunteers, fans, and league representatives. The Community Engagement Coordinator will work with the Community Engagement Team to assist in the overall planning and coordination of Nashville SC’s match-day activities, charitable programs, and data collection efforts.

Responsibilities- Work with Community Engagement Team to plan and execute Nashville SC community programs, engagement events, and matchday activations
- Help foster and maintain the club’s presence and engagement in local schools, neighborhoods, and community organizations
- Assist in the development of fundraising initiatives for the Nashville SC Community Fund
- Manage social media and email accounts for Nashville SC community initiatives
- Manage quarterly community newsletter
- Compile reports and maintain data collection efforts
- Provide ancillary support for other Nashville SC projects
- Uphold Community Engagement department's mission and core values in all programs
- Special projects as assigned by the Head of Community Engagement
- Associate of Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience in management of related field
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years of related work experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse racial, ethnic, religious, socioeconomic and gender backgrounds
- Strong analytical writing and oral communication skills
- Ability to conduct presentations and training sessions
- Strong desire to address unique community issues and impact the lives of others
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating and ability to work under pressure, multi-task, recognize problems and find solutions
- Demonstrated skills working well with fellow staff members
- Ability to work irregular hours for an extended period of time as dictated by events and schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management, executive leadership and event managers
- Qualified Promise Zone residents given priority treatment.
- Experience with schools, neighborhoods, and community organizations in Middle Tennessee and ability to speak Spanish a plus
