Position: Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Content Marketing (Hybrid) - Zondervan Books

Overview

The Zondervan Books team is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and highly values diverse backgrounds and insights that fuel our innovation.

Join a Big Five publisher and be part of our mission to inspire the world.

The Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Content Marketing plays a strategic role in planning and executing digital marketing programs for the Zondervan Books group, with a specific focus on content strategy and development that drives awareness and interest in our books. This role is responsible for identifying compelling reader-facing content opportunities, developing scalable content assets, and transforming long-form material—such as manuscripts, chapters, author interviews, and ideas—into high-performing content across digital platforms.

This position supports integrated digital marketing campaigns for frontlist and select backlist titles and works closely with internal teams, authors, and partners to ensure content aligns with audience needs and sales goals. The ideal candidate is a content-first digital marketer who understands how to meet readers where they are, test and refine messaging, and guide audiences back to long-form content—most often, books.

This role focuses on the marketing content readers encounter before they arrive at a book’s retail page. The Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Content Marketing is responsible for turning nonfiction books and author ideas into engaging, platform-native content across channels such as Instagram, You Tube, Tik Tok, and Meta. Performance insights from this content help inform book launches, improve retail pages, and support both frontlist and backlist strategies.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven, collaborative marketer who thrives in a fast-moving environment, brings strong editorial judgment, and can confidently manage multiple projects at various stages of the marketing lifecycle.

This is a hybrid position, based out of Nashville, TN, but we are open to qualified candidates outside of the Nashville area.

Zondervan Books is a team comprised of people who are passionate about books. When you apply for this position, we want to know why you want to work here, and why you are interested in the job. That’s why cover letters are strongly preferred.
