Loader, Manufacturing ​/ Production, Material Handler

Overview

Central Woodwork, Nashville is growing. We are looking for a responsible truck loader to work our 10AM-6:30PM shift loading millwork material at our facility. Material consists of windows, interior/exterior doors, mouldings, and other building supplies. This position reports to our Loading Supervisor.

• The required shift is 10AM-6:30PM, all loaders leave when the job is complete.
• Overtime is required if orders not complete and loaded by the end of the shift. Some Saturday work is required
• Must be on time and prompt for working assignments
• Must wear area specific PPE (safety glasses) and follow all safety rules and regulations
• Must be a team player and flexible in work assignments
• Must be able to read/write
• Must be able to use a tape measure
• Millwork experience is a plus

• The loader picks and audits orders by working from order sheets to build loads for transport, bulk and/or route trucks
• Must learn the functions of each department, as this position often works throughout the warehouse to gather the product
• Document what is being loaded for delivery
• Must work as a team to accomplish task in a timely manner
• Maintain quality control standards by checking items as loading

• Required to lift and load up to 75 + pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and able to bend and reach overhead
• Must be able to work under deadline pressure as organizational skills are the key to finding and providing material quickly
• Strive to increase knowledge of the product and the millwork business
