Manufacturing Engineer Job Description
This Manufacturing Engineer position is located in Nashville and provides essential support and solutions to a high mix/low volume production function. The role involves leading small teams in Maintenance and Engineering, utilizing a hands-on approach to enhance process design, fabrication, programming, assembly, and tooling capabilities. Collaboration with cross-functional team members is crucial, alongside mentoring and developing key team members within this function.
ResponsibilitiesSupport and drive stability of processes in a high-skilled production environment.
Develop and implement complex improvements to manufacturing processes, equipment, production design, tools, machines, and methods to ensure maximum manufacturing capability.
Investigate options and develop required layouts for new and current process methods or production areas to maximize manufacturing.
Solicit, analyze, and negotiate quotes on capital equipment to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Stay attuned to the latest technology and its applications within the business.
Participate in the quoting process for new or current business by providing necessary manufacturing documentation.
Provide documentation for processes and methods that support standardization.
Establish material flow analysis to propose, procure, and install material handling equipment and systems that support manufacturing.
Collaboratively evaluate and initiate cost reduction projects to improve manufacturing processes using business-minded judgment.
Evaluate the feasibility or cost reduction studies and make recommendations that support manufacturing and profitability.
Apply lean manufacturing principles effectively to reduce cycle time, balance labor methods, and improve process capability.
Plan and prepare effectively for new product introductions.
Experience in manufacturing engineering and process engineering.
Proficiency in Solid Works and CNC programming.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
The work environment is clean but can become dusty due to guitar manufacturing. Safety glasses are required while on the floor.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
Gibson benefits 10-15 days PTO 401k matching 4%
Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Nashville,TN.
