2nd Shift Brewer - The Nations Brewing Co.
The Nations Brewing in Nashville, TN is looking for a well‑rounded, positive brewer to join our growing team. This is a full‑time, hourly position on the second shift (12 PM–8 PM), covering all brewing and cellaring operations. The brewer will work days, evenings, and limited weekends as needed, reporting directly to the Brewery Floor Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities- Manage time wisely to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Participate in training procedures for brewing staff.
- Update inventory and quality management of raw materials and chemicals.
- Maintain accurate daily production records per company and Federal requirements.
- Complete tasks following standard operating procedures and guidelines (SOP/SOG).
- Assist management in creating/maintaining SOP/GMP.
- Follow all safety and sanitary processes.
- Adhere to daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
- Handle hazardous chemicals with appropriate PPE.
- Maintain all beer production areas and equipment.
- Monitor tanks, clean lines, transfer/filter/centrifuge/carbonate beer, and add fruit/hops/etc. as needed.
- Assist with equipment preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Continue to expand brewing knowledge through continued education.
- Represent Nations Brewing Company at company events and beer festivals.
- Completion of an accredited brewing program (e.g., Siebel Institute, UC Davis Master Brewer’s Program) is advantageous but not required.
- Knowledge of beer history, production, ingredients, and tasting.
- 1+ years in the brewing industry or comparable schooling; not required.
- Food/Beverage/Brewery Manufacturing experience: 1 year preferred.
- Experience with heavy machinery, brewing, and laboratory equipment is advantageous.
- Organization, planning, and execution.
- Computer proficiency:
Microsoft Office Suite. - Autonomy, situational awareness, safety awareness, and problem‑solving.
- Physical ability to stand, lift, and work in harsh conditions (up to 150 lbs).
- Teamwork and positive attitude required.
