Fork Lift Operator

Metal Processing and Façade Contractor seeking to hire an experienced forklift operator for a full time position.

$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

• Maneuvering forklifts safely in a busy manufacturing environment
• Moving material and other items between storage, manufacturing and shipping areas
• Transport material to production workstations
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
• Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of material onto shelves or pallets
• Loading and unloading deliveries and relocating the goods to designated areas
• Ensuring that operating areas are free from spills and obstructions
• Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages and reporting them
• Using wraps and pallets to safely stack goods for transport
• Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures

• Minimum five years of experience in forklift operation
• Must be motivated, prompt, reliable and ready to work independently and responsibly
• Ability to work overtime when needed
• Ability to perform minimum lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Ability to bend, squat and crouch
• Must be able to pass a fitness for duty test

• $17 - $20/hour based on experience
