Role Description Coming off a high-growth year in 2025, Bailey & Company (Bailey) is expanding its team and hiring a Chief of Staff role to help advance the firm’s continued business momentum. The Chief of Staff (CoS) role is a strategic partner to the CEO, responsible for driving organizational operational rigor, executing high-priority initiatives, and fostering a collaborative, data-driven culture. This position is highly visible, acting as a “right hand” to the CEO and serving as a vital link between administrative efficiency, investment banking execution, and the firm’s principal investing business.

Key responsibilities include managing strategic communications, optimizing business processes, leading special projects, and improving employee engagement, primarily for managing directors but occasionally for the broader staff.

Core Responsibilities & Duties
  • Business Operations: Advance the rigor and discipline of all Bailey business operations: client prospecting, revenue forecasting, KPI reporting, research and market development, principal investing, and marketing.

    Collaborate and work closely with the CFO, CMO, and Director of Research to ensure alignment and consistency across key constituents in the business.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Drives the development, implementation, and sustainability of strategic goals, ensuring alignment across business units.
  • Operational Excellence: Supports daily operations by managing engagement and prospect tracking, CRM systems, process improvements, and internal/external events.

    Additionally, constantly looking to improve organizational efficiency, and establishes operating rhythms (e.g., leadership meetings, offsites) utilizing the firms technology tools, CRM, and artificial intelligence.
  • Executive Support: Acts as a trusted advisor to CEO, facilitating decision-making and acting as a "force-multiplier" in managing complex workflows to “get things done” and push forward projects when the CEO is not in the room.
  • Communication & Culture: Develops communication strategies to inform, inspire, and connect employees, particularly given the firms multiple office locations.
  • Project Management: Leads high-visibility projects and initiatives that touch recruiting, human resources, compliance, investment banking, and principal investing.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: 4-9+ years in investment banking or private equity.

    Functional experience in one or more of the following:project/process management, management consulting, corporate strategy, M&A/transaction advisory or other strategic roles, with experience influencing senior leadership.
  • Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical foundation (including experience with financial modeling and advanced Microsoft Excel skills), executive presence, exceptional communication abilities (written and verbal, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint), experience with CRM technology (preferably Deal Cloud), and a data-driven approach to solving problems. While experience in artificial intelligence is not required, a willingness to play a lead role in the development of the Firm’s ongoing evaluation and utilization of AI is required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Business or a related field.
