As a Food service District Manager (FSDM), you’ll be the driving force behind our food and beverage success – leading store teams to deliver delicious, high‑quality offerings with consistency, safety, and pride. This dynamic, field‑based role is all about rolling up your sleeves, coaching and developing leaders, ensuring top‑tier execution, and driving results that satisfy both guests and the bottom line. You’ll collaborate with General Managers, District Managers, Marketing, and more to bring our food service vision to life across every location in your district.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Drive Sales & Profitability:
Partner with GMs and Food service Leaders to grow food and beverage sales while managing waste, inventory, and margins. - Ensure Operational Excellence:
Conduct in‑store visits to evaluate execution, food safety, and team performance – then deliver clear, actionable feedback. - Turn Insights Into Action:
Analyze data to identify trends and implement targeted plans that boost performance and efficiency across the district. - Lead Through
Collaboration:
Act as the key link between store teams, Support Center, and leadership – ensuring clear communication and alignment on food and beverage initiatives. - Support Store Success:
Help stores execute food programs safely and effectively, including during new openings and remodels. - Elevate Performance:
Provide feedback and insights through performance reviews and partner with District Managers on improvement strategies. - Champion Food Safety:
Conduct audits, coach teams, and ensure action plans are in place to maintain the highest safety standards. - Ensure Compliance:
Monitor adherence to all local, state, and federal food safety regulations across the district. - Train for Excellence:
Educate store staff on proper sanitation and food handling to drive top‑tier health inspection results. - Develop Future Leaders:
Coach and grow Food service Leaders and team members, partnering with DMs and RDOs to build operational and leadership skills. - Lead Hands‑On Training:
Model exceptional service while providing in‑the‑moment training across all food service categories. - Bridge Strategy & Execution:
Coordinate with support departments to implement re‑sets, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Lead Through Change:
Embrace and guide teams through new initiatives with a positive, adaptable mindset. - Model Professionalism:
Maintain confidentiality, take feedback in stride, and always lead by example.
- Work Setting: A mix of office time and in‑store time – on your feet for long stretches, moving between locations.
- Physical Demands & Environment:
You’ll be around food prep areas and typical c‑store conditions (including gasoline fumes/cleaning products) and may need to move items up to 75 lbs safely.
- Experience:
3+ years in retail or restaurant management (C‑store and multi‑unit exposure are a plus). Strength in coaching, communication, and turning data into decisions. - Business chops:
Solid financial acumen; organized, detail‑oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities. Proficient with MS Office (especially Excel). - Schedule & travel:
Comfort with a field‑based role that includes nights/weekends as needed and frequent travel within your district (up to ~90%). - Standard Requirements: 18+ years of age, valid Driver’s License and insurable, able to pass a background…
