What you'll be doing

The Paving Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a project, facility, or organization. This role involves managing personnel, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining timelines and budgets. The Superintendent serves as the on-site leader and ensures that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

* Supervise and coordinate daily activities of staff, subcontractors, and vendors.

* Ensure that all work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans and specifications.

* Monitor project progress and prepare reports for senior management or clients.

* Maintain communication with project managers, clients, engineers, and inspectors.

* Enforce safety regulations and protocols.

* Review and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications.

* Oversee quality control to ensure workmanship meets required standards.

* Manage inventory, materials, and equipment on-site.

* Resolve issues or delays in a proactive and timely manner.

* Conduct inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.

What skills and experience you'll bring to us

* High school diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, education, or related field preferred (depending on industry).

* 5+ years of relevant experience in a supervisory or management role.

* Strong leadership and communication skills.

* Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.

* Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.

* Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

* Strong Background in paving, concrete and grading

* Class A CDL
