Employment Type: Hourly (non-exempt)

Location: Private Pre-k - 8 grade School and Church, Nashville, TN

Compensation: range between $25 - $28 per hour (DOE)

Position Summary

The Site Maintenance Technician plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and fully functional campus environment for a private school and church in Nashville. This hands-on position involves daily maintenance, light repairs, and event support.

We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a positive, team-focused environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Complete general tasks such as wall repairs, painting, pressure washing, replacing light bulbs, and unclogging toilets.
  • Conduct routine inspections, including fire extinguishers, emergency lights, lavatories, and plumbing systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and log activities in the work order system.
  • Assist with event setup and respond to special requests.
  • Support grounds and exterior maintenance as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and campus staff.
  • Complete daily digital timesheets and work orders using web-based software.
Schedule
  • Full-time (40 hours per week): Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (includes 30-minute unpaid break)
  • Must be flexible for occasional nights, weekends, or overtime for special events.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in general facility maintenance or related field
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
  • Basic computer proficiency (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must pass a TBI background check (required for work on educational campuses)
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs intermittently
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, and stand for extended periods
