MAINTENANCE WORKER
Liberty Senior Living is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Worker to provide comprehensive facility support and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents.
Responsibilities
- Service facility equipment per schedule.
- Change HVAC filters per schedule.
- Monitor equipment safety and perform repairs as needed.
- Complete resident personal work orders and billing forms.
- Connect and troubleshoot TV and cable issues.
- Monitor and maintain grounds and interior cleanliness per schedule.
- Remove trash per schedule.
- Perform generator testing per schedule.
- Perform minor carpentry repairs (painting, sheetrock repair, furniture repair).
- Perform minor electrical repairs and cleaning (replace receptacle, light bulbs, light fixtures; set up strips and cords; clean fixtures per schedule).
- Perform minor plumbing repairs and cleaning (replace wax gasket, unclog toilets, repair faucets, replace shower heads, replace toilet tank parts, clean drains per schedule).
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High school graduate.
- Knowledge of general maintenance.
- Work every other weekend with rest days off during the week.
- Carry phone and respond to maintenance needs when on call.
- Willing to work odd hours if emergency arises.
- Ability to read and write with clarity sufficient to follow instructions.
- Attend all required meetings.
- Kind and respectful to residents and coworkers.
- Maintain neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
- Read, know and follow personnel, department and facility policies.
- Reset fire alarm panels and pull stations; locate and operate all fire extinguishers.
- Turn off main power, water, and/or gas supply to facility.
- Knowledge of functions of all roof equipment and other equipment.
- Willing to work as Housekeeping Assistant, Porter, Laundry Assistant or Grounds Assistant as needed.
- Valid state driver's license in good standing and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
