The Security Dispatcher acts as the central communications contact for shift officers/supervisors and the community regarding security-related matters. The Dispatcher must multitask by coordinating radio communications, receiving incoming calls on three lines, monitoring alarm systems, and disseminating information to the appropriate persons. Excellent customer service skills are required.

• Keep detailed logs of incidents, including date, time, and pertinent information.
• Download and update daily crime logs and timely warnings, ensuring the dispatch log is current by removing old information daily.
• Access information on the O: drive and provide it to the Shift Supervisor or mobile officers as requested.
• Maintain a count of issued keys, recording date, time, and recipient.
• Contact Nashville Metro Police Department for reportable crimes and towing services as instructed by supervisors.
• Perform other tasks related to daily operations at the dispatch station as needed.

• Clear and concise communication skills, both orally and in writing.

• High school diploma or GED; no previous law enforcement experience required.
