Insurance Defense Associate Attorney (Permanent, Hybrid. Full-Time)

Are you an insurance defense associate attorney ready to take the next step in your career? Do you specialize in automotive liability and thrive in a fast‑paced litigation environment? Latitude is seeking an associate‑level attorney with significant experience in automotive liability insurance defense matters to join the Nashville office of a full‑service litigation firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling automobile liability cases, with additional experience in workers’ compensation and premises liability.

Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills are essential, and candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the Tennessee Bar. This is a hybrid role based out of the firm’s Nashville office.

• Independently manage a litigation caseload, primarily focusing on automotive liability defense matters
• Work closely with other attorneys and partners on legal projects
• Regularly handle court appearances, depositions, and examinations under oath
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports

• 5+ years of insurance defense litigation experience in automotive liability, workers’ compensation, and premises liability cases
• Experience preparing pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motion practice
• Superior written and oral advocacy skills required
• Licensed to practice and in good standing in Tennessee
• J.D. from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, professional law firm setting
• Outstanding references

• Pay:
  The yearly salary for this role starts at $140,000 – $150,000/yr and goes up depending upon experience and origination potential. Pay is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
