LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a top AmLaw firm in Nashville to recruit an associate attorney for the firm's highly regarded, national construction practice. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience with construction law and litigation in a sophisticated law firm setting. A professional background in the construction industry prior to attending law school is strongly preferred.
The firm offers excellent mentorship and professional development for associate attorneys, a collegial atmosphere, flexible/hybrid work environment, and top of market compensation.
Responsibilities- Represent construction industry clients (contractors, developers, owners) in disputes arising over commercial construction projects, construction defect claims, and other complex construction disputes.
- Review, draft, and advise clients on construction contracts, including AIA contracts.
- Conduct legal research and writing; manage discovery; draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Juris Doctorate from a highly regarded law school with excellent academic credentials
- Admission to Tennessee bar in good standing, or ability to become licensed in Tennessee
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Construction industry background preferred
