Salary/Payrate: $145K-$155K annually, bonus and AWESOME benefits!!!

Tennessee Bar – Required and in good standing

Minimum Billable hour - 1,850

JOB DESCRIPTION

About Our Client:

Our regional law firm client, based in Nashville, TN, provides comprehensive defense services in medical malpractice and insurance litigation. The firm is dedicated to high-quality client service while fostering a collaborative, professional work environment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Staff Attorney with 10+ years of experience in medical malpractice (defense). This role can be full-time or part-time, in-office, and is ideal for an experience attorney looking to leverage their experience in a supportive, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic recommendations to supervising attorneys.
  • Manage a caseload of medical malpractice and insurance defense matters under supervision.
  • Assist in preparing for depositions, trials, and client meetings.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, support staff, and co-counsel to ensure effective case management.
  • Maintain accurate case records and track deadlines in accordance with firm protocols.
  • Participate in trial preparation and demonstrate trial readiness; actual courtroom trial experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Tennessee
  • 10+ years of experience in medical malpractice.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and clients effectively.
  • Detail-oriented, collaborative, and professional.
