Minimum Billable hour - 1,850

About Our Client:
Our regional law firm client, based in Nashville, TN, provides comprehensive defense services in medical malpractice and insurance litigation. The firm is dedicated to high-quality client service while fostering a collaborative, professional work environment.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Staff Attorney with 10+ years of experience in medical malpractice (defense). This role can be full-time or part-time, in-office, and is ideal for an experience attorney looking to leverage their experience in a supportive, client-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic recommendations to supervising attorneys.
- Manage a caseload of medical malpractice and insurance defense matters under supervision.
- Assist in preparing for depositions, trials, and client meetings.
- Collaborate with paralegals, support staff, and co-counsel to ensure effective case management.
- Maintain accurate case records and track deadlines in accordance with firm protocols.
- Participate in trial preparation and demonstrate trial readiness; actual courtroom trial experience is a plus but not required.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Tennessee
- 10+ years of experience in medical malpractice.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and clients effectively.
- Detail-oriented, collaborative, and professional.
