Information Security Analyst

Are you an IT operations pro ready to make the move into cybersecurity? We’re placing a Security Analyst with a leading global investment management firm. This is a front-line security operations role where you’ll be monitoring, investigating, and responding to security alerts across a complex global environment and would be a strong launchpad for someone with solid IT ops experience who’s ready to go deep on security.

Compensation: $32–$35/hour W-2.

Logistics: Contract role, on-site in Nashville, TN four days per week.

• Monitor and triage security alerts from endpoint, network, and cloud tools: determining what’s noise and what needs action
• Investigate potential incidents through the full lifecycle: containment, eradication, escalation, and documentation
• Leverage the SIEM platform to build queries, dashboards, and alert rules that sharpen threat detection
• Review and analyze logs to identify patterns, anomalies, and root causes
• Keep an eye on the health of security platforms, flagging misconfigurations or performance issues before they become problems
• Assist with vulnerability analysis and contribute to risk management and control testing activities
• Support end users and internal stakeholders on security-related questions and requests
• Document response actions and produce clear reports for management and audit stakeholders
• Maintain working knowledge of the firm’s IT infrastructure and stay current on emerging threats

• 2+ years in an IT operations or support role: helpdesk, sysadmin, network ops, or similar hands‑on experience
• Solid understanding of computer systems and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, Active Directory, etc.)
• Experience troubleshooting issues across endpoints, servers, or networks: you know how to dig into a problem
• Comfort reviewing logs and running structured queries or regex searches
• Exposure to or genuine interest in security: whether through professional experience, self‑study, home labs, or certifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical findings for non‑technical audiences
• Detail‑oriented and process‑driven, with a track record of following through and documenting your work
• Ability to independently manage and prioritize tasks with minimal direction
• CompTIA Security+, or active pursuit of it, is a strong plus
• Experience with a SIEM platform, scripting, or data analysis tools like Excel is a bonus
