Role Overview

The Head of Engineering will lead the end-to-end engineering function responsible for building, integrating, and scaling a modern technology ecosystem that powers both internal business operations and customer-facing digital experiences. This includes overseeing application development, company website, enterprise data and AI platforms, and a B2B eCommerce ecosystem built atop a vendor-managed platform. The role balances strategic leadership, technical oversight, and vendor governance to deliver a robust, secure, and intelligent digital platform for growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Leadership:
    Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering organization spanning application development, data engineering, AI/ML, and Dev Ops.
  • Platform Ownership:
    Drive technical execution across internal and external web and application experiences, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Vendor Platform Integration:
    Oversee engineering efforts connected to the eCommerce system built on a vendor-owned platform, guiding vendor technical roadmaps, integration patterns, and data exchange models.
  • Product Search

    Experience:

    Lead development and optimization of intelligent search capabilities, personalization experiences.
  • ERP and Supplier Integration:
    Manage design and delivery of ERP and supplier integrations through APIs, middleware, and files.
  • Data and AI Enablement:
    Partner with product and business teams to produce trustworthy, accessible data and build AI/ML solutions, improving decision intelligence and automation.
  • Governance and Quality:
    Establish engineering standards, code quality, and Dev Sec Ops  practices across domains.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    Work closely with Product Management, Operations, IT and Business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into technical outcomes.
  • Technology Strategy:
    Contribute to overall technology vision, challenge assumptions, and ensure alignment between engineering priorities and enterprise objectives.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 10+ years in engineering leadership roles.
  • Proven success building and scaling enterprise or customer-facing digital platforms.
  • Strong expertise in system integrations (especially ERP and external suppliers), API design, and microservice architectures.
  • Experience guiding complex vendor-driven platform initiatives, with ability to influence roadmap and ensure seamless technical alignment.
  • Background in cloud-based data architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP), AI enablement, and modern application frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of web development, eCommerce, and digital experience technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; able to translate technical details into business value.
