We are currently undergoing a modern digital transformation and are seeking a Project Manager to help evolve our IT delivery capabilities.

Position

Summary

The IT Project Manager will facilitate the delivery of critical transformation projects. This role is responsible for bridging the gap between legacy-based processes and modern delivery methods. We are looking for an individual with experience in multiple SDLC methodologies to help drive our transition to value-based delivery (Agile Scrum).

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Governance: Lead projects of medium to high cost and complexity with cross-functional impact.
  • Planning & Strategy: Develop detailed charters, project plans, risk mitigation strategies, and work breakdown structures.
  • Execution: Oversee the full project lifecycle, including planning, directing resources, and managing testing activities.
  • Risk & Budget Management: Establish and track project budgets, manage variance, and proactively identify/resolve project challenges.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Partner with internal technology teams and business peers to interpret vision into actionable implementation/release plans.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and oversight to junior project management staff and advocate for departmental standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: BA in Business, BS in a technical field, or equivalent professional work experience.
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in SDLC Methodologies (Agile/Scrum and Waterfall).
  • Proven track record managing projects in a complex cross-functional environment through the entire lifecycle.
  • Experience with budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Advanced experience with MS Project (or similar), Visio, SharePoint, and the MS Office Suite.
  • Experience managing projects using the Jira suite is preferred.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the Insurance Industry is highly preferred.
  • Specialized Systems: Experience with Forms and Document Management system implementation.
  • Methodology Mastery: Familiarity with PRINCE 2 or MSF (Microsoft Solutions Framework).
  • Soft Skills: Strong team-building skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
