IT Project Manager
Homeland has partnered with a publicly traded, community-focused financial institution to hire a Technical Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives. The Technical Project Manager will lead enterprise‑wide IT infrastructure and system implementation projects that have broad organizational impact.
The Technical Project Manager role works closely with senior IT leadership and oversees high‑visibility initiatives, including onboarding a new statement provider that will affect all customer accounts. The ideal candidate brings proven banking experience, strong technical credibility, and the ability to confidently engage engineers while driving structured execution, communication, and accountability across business and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities- Lead enterprise IT infrastructure and system implementation projects from initial planning through full execution
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, documentation, status reporting, and risk logs
- Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and quality of deliverables to ensure successful outcomes
- Provide consistent weekly stakeholder communications and deliver clear, structured monthly updates to executive leadership
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with IT, infrastructure, operations, and business teams to drive alignment and execution
- Operate effectively within a hybrid Agile, sprint‑based deployment environment
- Ensure all initiatives align with banking regulatory requirements and operational standards
- Quickly build strong internal relationships and gain a clear understanding of team structures and workflows
- Demonstrate independent ownership and accountability, proactively keeping projects on track and aligned with business objectives
- Prior experience in banking or financial services required
- Experience with Jack Henry systems strongly preferred
- 3–5+ years of IT infrastructure project management experience
- Strong understanding of networks, servers, Active Directory, and Microsoft environments
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams without direct authority
- Advanced skills in project documentation, reporting, and process standardization
This is a contract‑to‑hire opportunity that will operate in a hybrid capacity during the initial six‑month contract period. Upon conversion to full‑time employment, the role will transition to a fully in‑office schedule. Candidates may work from one of the following locations:
Downtown Nashville, TN;
Downtown Birmingham, AL; or the Franklin, TN area.
This position offers hourly compensation ranging from $38.46 to $52.88 during the contract period, based on experience. Upon successful conversion to full‑time employment, the anticipated salary range is $80,000 to $110,000 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
