Job Title: Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist
Department: eCommerce, Digital Optimization
Reports To: Manager, Global Digital Optimization
FLSA Status: Exempt
Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid)
Position SummaryThe CRO Specialist is responsible for enhancing the user experience and driving conversion rate improvements across our global eCommerce sites. This role focuses on identifying and executing opportunities to improve key performance metrics such as Add-to-Cart Rate, Conversion Rate, Bounce Rate, Checkout Completion Rate, and overall site engagement.
The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and passionate about optimizing customer journeys through data-driven experimentation and continuous improvements.
Responsibilities- Translate leadership objectives into prioritized initiatives, roadmaps, and quarterly plans.
- Develop and manage a structured A/B and multivariate testing program, from hypothesis generation to test execution and analysis.
- Analyze on-site user behavior to identify friction points, drop-offs, and usability issues.
- Use insights from heatmaps, session recordings, surveys, and usability testing to form data-driven hypotheses.
- Advocate for best-in-class customer experience practices that align with brand and conversion objectives.
- Partner with design, development, and analytics teams to implement and validate tests accurately.
- Track and measure the performance of experiments, reporting insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze key CRO metrics, including:
- Add-to-Cart Rate
- Conversion Rate (CVR)
- Checkout Abandonment Rate
- Average Order Value (AOV)
- Bounce Rate
- Session Duration / Engagement Rate
- Exit Rate
- Develop clear actionable reports and dashboards to communicate test outcomes and ongoing performance trends.
- Translate insights into business recommendations and prioritize optimization opportunities.
- Partner with Marketing, eCommerce, Product, and Analytics teams to ensure consistent execution and shared learnings.
- Maintain documentation of experiments, learnings, and best practices to foster continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Analytics, Psychology, UX Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in CRO, eCommerce optimization, or digital analytics.
- Demonstrated success improving key eCommerce metrics through testing and UX enhancements.
- Proficiency in analytics and testing tools (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Google Optimize, Optimizely, VWO, Hotjar, or Contentsquare).
- Solid understanding of A/B testing methodologies, statistical significance, and test design.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI).
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Self-starter who takes ownership and consistently drives projects to completion.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for reporting insights to stakeholders.
- Structured and proactive in planning, prioritization, and execution.
- Curious, innovative thinker who thrives in a fast-paced digital environment.
- Continuously explores emerging CRO strategies, technologies, and industry insights to inform testing and innovation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct oversight and collaborate with cross-functional partners to strategize growth opportunities.
- Hands‑on experience with Photoshop or other image editing tools to optimize visual content.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS and web technologies for test implementation collaboration.
- Understanding of SEO fundamentals and how they impact user experience and conversion.
