Our client, a leading organization in the technology and services industry, is seeking a Software Asset Management professional to join their team. As a Software Asset Management specialist, you will be part of the IT Operations Department supporting the Software Asset Management team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Software Asset Management
Location: Nashville, TN (REMOTE)
What's the Job?- Oversee and manage Software Asset Management (SAM) delivery for multiple accounts, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
- Lead software asset and installation remediations, troubleshooting teams, and proactive initiatives to optimize software usage.
- Maintain relationships within the SAM-Pro models, including people, IT components, and contracts, to support accurate data management.
- Assist in conducting software audits and true-ups, proactively identifying discrepancies and driving resolution to maintain accurate CMDB data.
- Provide leadership in SAM processes, including training, mentoring, and staff augmentation, to foster a knowledgeable team environment.
- Experience with Service Now SAM Pro and evaluating SAM calculations in virtualized environments.
- Strong understanding of vendor licensing, enterprise agreements, and software normalization principles.
- ITIL Foundation v3 or v4 certification and Service Now Certified System Administrator certification.
- Experience with hardware asset management, asset/configuration management databases, and audit defense strategies.
- Excellent report writing, investigative, and stakeholder communication skills.
