The Project Coordinator will support a multi-year, grant-funded initiative focused on modernizing statewide data collection, reporting, and training systems related to public safety operations. This role is responsible for coordinating multiple concurrent projects, managing administrative and financial oversight of grant activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state requirements.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of project management, business analysis, and financial oversight experience, with the ability to collaborate across technical teams, vendors, and academic partners.
Position Overview- Project & Program Coordination
- Plan, organize, and execute operational and administrative activities for a multi-project grant initiative
- Coordinate multiple projects running in parallel, some delivered internally and others by third-party vendors
- Track project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies
- Partner with subject matter experts, technical teams, external vendors, and academic institutions
- Business Analysis
- Gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements
- Translate stakeholder needs into clear project specifications
- Support system updates and enhancements to meet regulatory and compliance standards
- Financial & Grant Management
- Track grant budgets and expenditures to ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives
- Support financial oversight and cost compliance
- Prepare and submit quarterly grant reports and status updates
- Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to grant requirements, cost principles, audit standards, and reporting schedules
- Maintain documentation supporting federal civil rights, cybersecurity, and evaluation requirements
- Coordinate quarterly reporting and ongoing status communications
- Systems, Data & Training Initiatives
- Support modernization of statewide reporting systems and data quality initiatives
- Assist with updates to reporting forms and compliance-driven data collection standards
- Coordinate development of training programs and self-contained online learning modules
- Support implementation of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled capabilities, where applicable
- Strong background in Business Systems Analysis, including requirements gathering and documentation
- Project management experience, coordinating multiple work streams and stakeholders
- Financial and grant management experience, including budget tracking and quarterly reporting
- Ability to manage vendor-led and internally delivered projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with data, analytics, or AI-related initiatives is a plus
