• Provide technical support of specialized systems and product applications including advanced troubleshooting of software-driven electronics, provisioning of communication system infrastructure, and performance optimization of RF and broadband architecture (including legacy analog, advanced digital P25 and data infrastructure).
• Maintain, optimize, test, document and support complex communications systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance routines focusing on trend analysis and documenting results.
• Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered during system maintenance, upgrades or support issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and Customer Service to maintain, optimize and support advanced communication systems that meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Deliver a strong knowledge of wired communications systems, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
• Experience with logging/recording systems, RF interfaces, wired/wireless communications systems and networking equipment.
• Demonstrate a combination of strong multi-site RF communications system and computer/networking skills.
• Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products and Motorola Radio Programming Software suite.
• Capable of performing maintenance of server hardware/OS and software infrastructure and troubleshooting to resolve system/application issues.
• Display strong self-management and people skills to work with customers, MSS, and internal teams (Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Customer Service).
• Be self-motivated and able to perform duties at a distance from direct supervision.
• Able to solve customer problems quickly during stressful situations.

• Working knowledge of test equipment including:
  Communication System Analyzers, Ethernet Link test sets, T1 Test Sets, TIMS, Digital RF Power Meter.
• Experience with Motorola systems (Conventional, Smart Net, MCC Console), Secure Operations and ASTRO A7.x Digital systems and installation procedures.
• A minimum of 3+ years of related experience with equipment such as Motorola Base Stations (GTR series), Consoles (MCC
  7500, MCC
  7100), Channel Banks and T1 Circuits, Computer IP Networks and Configuration; RF Infrastructure Technologies including Smart Zone, Smart Net, Console Systems, ASTRO systems is strongly preferred.
• Ideally at least one network certification:
  Network+, Security+, CCNA.

• Must be proficient in computer network installation, configuration and maintenance (including cabling, routers, switches, firewalls and bridges).
• Must be capable of maintaining server hardware/OS and software infrastructure and troubleshooting issues.
• Total familiarity with the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques.
• Must have strong knowledge of RF systems, transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks.
• Must have strong knowledge of standard telephony and dedicated data circuits, as well as packet switching techniques.
• Must have experience with one of the following: P25, LMR, Smart Net, Smart Zone, RF infrastructure, ASTRO systems, radios and consoles.
• Must have excellent communications skills and present a professional image.
• Must have a current, valid driver s license and no traffic violations.
• Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customers.
