JOB LOCATION: Remote
TRAVEL: 25%
The Business Analyst is an entry level BA supporting the Transportation Product Team and will be responsible for guiding and improving processes, products, services, and software through data analysis. The Business Analyst will play a role in the software development life cycle and will work closely with Product Owners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Entry Level Business Analyst - assess client practices and gain understanding of clients’ business processes relevant to industry trends and project goals.
- Transmitting demands of the user to the developer, preparing software requirements and specifications, user stories, design documents such as wireframes and flowcharts for development to apply in producing the product.
- Testing system functionality in QC, UAT.
- Brainstorm requirements a software solution needs and participate in requirements gathering.
- Design new programs by analyzing clients’ requirements.
- Make recommendations and improve system by studying the products.
- Document processes and prepare user stories by analyzing and summarizing the information.
- Work on more than one project at a time and reevaluate their priorities and deadlines.
- Utilize Agile methodologies – particularly Scrum – to manage project delivery.
- Create and maintain user stories, defects, project documentation in Jira.
- Work closely with Product Owner and Engineering Manager to ensure project milestones are met.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Must have excellent documentation skills
- Must have analytical and conceptual skills
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- 2+ years related experience
- Technical writing experience
- Certified Product Owner (CPO) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI‑ACP) is a plus
- Experience with Jira
- Knowledge of Land and Property Recording at the county/parish or state level is a plus
