We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our Nashville-based team. This role provides frontline, phone-based technical support to customers and distributors who are installing or troubleshooting field equipment.
This position is ideal for a technical professional with strong electrical fundamentals, good problem-solving skills, and a customer-first mindset who is eager to learn SCADA and utility monitoring systems.
Location: On-site in Nashville, TN
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
- Some after-hours support required (one weekend per month and one evening per week)
Provide frequent, phone-based technical support to customers and distributors during equipment installation and troubleshooting
Assist customers in real time while units are being installed or diagnosed in the field
Build and configure customer sites within High Tide’s cloud-based SCADA platform
Configure user access and system settings based on customer input
Maintain accurate records in internal tracking systems and software tools
Support cross-team coordination as needed
- Update tracking matrices & company-wide software-based applications for organizational purposes
- Other duties as assigned
- Foundational knowledge of electrical and electronic concepts, including voltage, current, and resistance
Ability to understand and interpret meter readings and basic electrical measurements
Comfortable with basic math, including binary and hexadecimal number conversions
Strong communication skills and professional phone presence
Customer-first attitude with a focus on problem-solving
Organized note-taking and record-keeping skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and customer issues simultaneously
Willingness to learn new systems and follow documented processes
Education and/orExperience:
- Associates degree in electronics or programming or equivalent experience.
