The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (Pro Serve) team is seeking a Senior Betting & Gaming Advisory Consultant to shape and transform how enterprises leverage cloud technology. As a Consulting Cloud Architect specializing in Betting and Gaming, you will design, implement, and optimize cloud‑based solutions tailored to the unique needs of online sports betting, iGaming, and casino gaming clients. Working closely with industry leaders such as Fan Duel, Draft Kings, and Scientific, you will build cloud environments that support real‑time transactions, massive user concurrency, and stringent regulatory requirements while delivering low‑latency, secure, and compliant platforms that enhance player engagement and operational success.
Key Responsibilities- Design and architect AWS cloud solutions for betting and gaming platforms with high availability and low latency.
- Partner with clients to understand technical and regulatory needs, translating business requirements into robust cloud architectures.
- Leverage cloud‑native tools to optimize performance, reduce latency, and manage costs, including real‑time analytics (e.g., player behavior tracking, churn prediction) using AWS Kinesis.
- Design infrastructure to handle peak loads (millions of simultaneous bets) and ensure global scalability for multi‑jurisdictional operations.
- Implement secure, compliant cloud environments with encryption, identity management (AWS IAM), and audit trails to meet standards such as PCI DSS, GDPR, and state gaming laws.
- Provide technical guidance on cloud‑native technologies, microservices, containers, and AI/ML integration for fraud detection and other use cases.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions, integrating cloud services with betting platforms or casino management systems.
- Stay updated on betting and gaming trends (mobile betting, live in‑play wagering, blockchain) and prototype emerging technologies for client use cases.
- 5+ years in cloud architecture, IT consulting, or solutions engineering, with at least 2 years focused on Betting and Gaming.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years designing cloud solutions for real‑time, regulated applications (sports betting, online casinos) with familiarity with compliance frameworks.
- 2+ years experience with data lakes, real‑time analytics, and/or fraud detection.
- 3+ years experience with sales targets, business development, and driving customer satisfaction.
- AWS experience preferred, with proficiency in services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, Elasti Cache, and API Gateway.
- AWS Professional level certifications (Solutions Architect, AI Practitioner, Machine Learning).
- Understanding of betting/gaming workflows.
- Proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure‐as‑code (Terraform, Cloud Formation), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of real‑time data processing (Kafka, Kinesis) and database technologies (Dynamo
DB, Postgre
SQL). - Knowledge of security and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR).
- Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200 / year in the lowest geographic market up to $239,000 / year in the highest geographic market. Additional compensation may include equity, sign‑on payments, and other benefits as part of a total compensation package.
