About Ignite VisibilityIgnite Visibility isn't just a digital marketing agency; we're a performance powerhouse. Consistently ranked among the top agencies in the nation, we blend data‑driven strategy with creative excellence to deliver exceptional results for our clients. Our greatest asset is our people—a team of passionate, driven professionals who thrive in our fast‑paced, collaborative culture. We're looking for an HR professional who wants to be a true strategic partner in fueling that growth.
TheMission
We are seeking a pragmatic, people‑focused, and business‑savvy Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as the vital link between our talent strategy and our business objectives. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit in the ivory tower of HR. This is a hands‑on, operational partnership where you will embed yourself with our teams to coach leaders, champion our culture, solve complex people puzzles, and ensure our employees have an exceptional experience from onboarding to offboarding.
You will be the primary HR point of contact for a significant portion of our domestic workforce, managing the full spectrum of employee relations and performance cycles. Your goal is to empower managers, ensure consistency, and protect the company, allowing the HR leadership to focus on strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Employee Relations & Advocacy:
Serve as the trusted first point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns. Conduct sensitive, confidential investigations and provide guidance on conflict resolution, escalating complex/high‑risk matters as needed. - Manager Coaching & Development:
Partner with managers to build leadership capability. Provide real‑time coaching on performance management, difficult conversations, career development, and team dynamics. - Performance Management Cycle:
Guide managers and employees through our performance review process (goal‑setting, mid‑year check‑ins, annual reviews). Ensure meaningful dialogue and documentation. - Policy & Compliance Stewardship:
Interpret and apply HR policies and procedures consistently. Manage compliance‑related documentation, reporting, and processes. Stay current on federal and state employment law (with a focus on CA). - Employee Lifecycle Management:
Own the seamless execution of onboarding for new hires and offboarding for departing employees, ensuring a positive and professional experience at every touchpoint. - Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline HR workflows, enhance the employee experience, and improve manager self‑service. Be a voice for efficiency and practicality.
- You have 4-6 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a dedicated HRBP or HR Generalist role with significant employee relations responsibility.
- You are a California employment law expert (or are fiercely committed to becoming one). Experience navigating CA‑specific regulations is a major plus.
- You possess high emotional intelligence and discretion. You can navigate sensitive situations with empathy, fairness, and sound judgment.
- You are a coach, not just a consultant. You derive satisfaction from building manager confidence and capability.
- You are proactive and operational. You see gaps, anticipate needs, and build practical solutions. You're comfortable being "in the weeds" when needed.
- You have excellent communication skills—able to explain complex policies simply and document issues with precision.
- You are tech‑savvy and have experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Bamboo
HR, Gusto, Paylocity), Google Workspace, and project management tools.
- Strategic Impact:
You will have a direct hand in shaping the employee experience and operationalizing our people strategy for a defined client group. - Autonomy & Trust:
We value expertise and empower you to own your domain and make informed decisions. - Growth Trajectory:
